to easy trekking through the Andean Lakes
In the heart of The Lake District is the Vicente Pérez Rosales
National Park, it was the first national park created in Chile in
1926, located only 82 km. northeast of Puerto Montt and, with a surface
area of 253,750 ha. The park homes a wide variety of landscapes and
wildlife that invite us to share an amazing experience adventure trekking
through a trail towards hanging bridges, native millennium forest,
waterfalls and rivers among snowed capped volcanoes like Puntiagudo,
Osorno and Tronador and El Callao hot springs. The Jesuits were the
first who wrote about El Callao hot springs when they came years ago.

DAY 1 PUERTO
MONTT - PETROHUE |
Welcome
and reception at the Puerto Montt airport. City tour of this southern
port, visiting the picturesque Angelmó cove, an inspiration
source for artists and intellectuals alike, noted for its craftsmanship
center and market with diverse types of fish and seafood. Next, Pelluco
and, at the other end, Chinquihue, two summer resorts located beside
the Tenglo channel, where old shipyards can still be seen. After drive
to Petrohue located in Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park,
visiting on the way the Petrohue River waterfalls. Take your time
to explore the surroundings of Petrohue, you are located at the feet
of the volcano Osorno, next to lake Todos los Santos or the Emerald

DAY 2 PETROHUE
- TERMAS EL CALLAO |
After breakfast
we depart by motor boat on the lake Todos los Santos towards El Rincón
pier (90 minutes). Here begins our hike to the Hot springs the Callao.
On our way, we will cross several hanging bridges and we will go by
a landscape plenty of rivers, cascades and millennial native rainforests.
After four hours we arrive at the Hot springs The Callao refuge, a
small and intimate lodge located next to the "No Name" river.
The load and the food are carried by pack horses. Now you have time
to take a delicious bath in the thermal waters, which will really
make you feel like in paradise. We will have dinner, and stay overnight
at the refuge. (B,L,D) |
DAY 3 TERMAS
EL CALLAO - PETROHUE |
Breakfast.
Time to enjoy a thermal bath in the area. After lunch, we begin trekking
for four hours towards the lake Todos Los Santos, crossing native
rainforest; millennial mañios forest may be we will hear some
chucao (native bird). If the day is clear it is possible to see the
three volcanoes, Osorno, Puntiagudo and Tronador. Late afternoon arrival
in El Rincón where is waiting for us the motorboat to return
to Petrohué. Dinner and lodging in Petrohué. (B,L,D) |
DAY
4 PETROHUE - PUERTO MONTT |
Breakfast.
In the morning we will ascend by car to the Osorno volcano recahing
La Burbuja refuge. You have spectacular views of the Osorno volcano
and Llanquihue Lake. Short hiking to visit to the Green Lagoon, which
has its color because of the glacial origin. Lunch in a local restaurant
in Ensenada. Transfer to Puerto Montt. (B,L) |
