Today is a carry day, this aloud us to have lighter weights, but also and more important it's given us the best way to get a good acclimatization process. The hike follows the upper end of La Engorda valley, mostly walking over old morrein terrain. After 3 hours we arrive to our next campsite at the foot of a big, very characteristic boulder, here we drop some food, gas and gear and then get back to the base camp to rest and dinner. Camp (B, L, D)

DAY 6: MARMOLEJO ADVANCED BASE CAMP - CAMP I
Welcome routine, after a good breakfast we move up again on this nice step snow patch of some 800 meters high. At 5200 we recover our last day carry and set up the camp. As this camp could be on snow we need to have time to build a good platform and a protecting wall for the tents. We have an incredible 360 degrees view. We drink, drink, rest and drink. Dinner (B, L, D)
DAY 7: CAMP I - MARMOLEJO SUMMIT (6100m) - CAMP I
Early wake up, as we need about 6 hours to reach the summit. Most probably today we start walking with grampons, as all the time we will be moving on glaciated terrain till 300 meters below the summit, where the wind is too strong to leave the snow to sit. Once in the summit we relax and enjoy the all around view were we can see San José Volcano, Aconcagua, Nevado Piuquencillo and many others big peaks, then we back to a good rest at our camp I. Camp (B, L, D)
DAY 8 : CAMP I- BASE CAMP
After breakfast we put down the camp and we start our return to the valleys, again we enjoy good ski over the mountain boots, using the snow patches, in this way we save time and have fun. If the snow it's to hard we will need to use grampons. At the ABC boulder we lunch something and then we keep going down till the base camp original site, where we will arrive in about 7 hours. Here we set up our last camp, rest and dinner. Camp (B, L, D)
DAY 9: BASE CAMP - SANTIAGO
