Only 45
minutes southeast of Santiago, in the middle of the Andes Mountains,
runs the tumultuous Maipo River. This exciting river with rapids of
moderate difficulty (class III and IV) give us the experience of rafting
with the beautiful scenery of the spectacular Andean mountains that
continuously surround it. We will run the river for about one hour. |

to reach: We suggest regular buses from Santiago to San José
de Maipo village located 1 km. from Los Héroes Park. Drivers
may help you to get down in the meeting place. Trip takes 1 hour and

Degree
of difficulty and physical conditioning: Participants have to
be in good physical condition. No rafting experience necessary. Minimum
age to participate is 14 years old. There is no upper age limit. Oar-rigged
(center and stern frame) rafts will be rowed by our staff. Participants
must know how to swim. |

What
to bring: Dry clothes for changing. Short pants or bathing suit,
windbreaker and
Tennis shoes for rafting or rubber sandals. A wetsuit is better. |
