The Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Chile and Puerto Varas is the best city to begin your adventure trip in the Lakes District.
Puerto Varas is located on the shores of Llanquihue Lake 20 minutes from Puerto Montt city, the main entrance in this region because the airport.
If you are thinking to do everything in a few days, you are right!! It is possible with this program specially designed for active people.
Day 1 PUERTO MONTT - PUERTO VARAS
Reception at Puerto Montt's airport. Transfer to selected Hotel, welcome Cocktail and introduction to the program. Afternoon at leisure and walk the city. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 HORSEBACK RIDING TO CALBUCO VOLCANO
Breakfast. We depart by vehicle from Puerto Varas to Ensenada. From here begins the horseback ride (approx. 7 hrs.) through native rainforests until we arrive at the foot of the volcano Calbuco where we get great views over the volcanoes Calbuco, Osorno and of the Lake Llanquihue. At the end of the itinerary we will see a beautiful waterfall running down the volcano Calbuco. In the afternoon return to Puerto Varas. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 TREKKING TO PATH DESOLATION
Morning departs from Puerto Varas towards Petrohué. From the Hotel Petrohué we start the trek (approx. 7 hours) skirting Lake Todos Los Santos. We ascend to the sandbank of the volcano until arriving at a magma canyon. From here we arrive at the Path Desolation where Jesuits discovered, in the century XVII, Lake Todos Los Santos. The view of the National Park Vicente Pérez Rosales is amazing. We continue the walk towards the sandbanks of volcano Osorno where we have spectacular views of the volcanoes Osorno, Puntiagudo, Tronador and Calbuco, Lake Todos Los Santos and the Andes Mountains. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 4 PHOTOGRAFIC SAFARI TO OSORNO VOLCANO
Departure in vehicle from Puerto Varas towards the volcano Osorno, sector La Burbuja at a high of 1.350 meters. From La Burbuja we take a walk to the foot of the volcano to enjoy the natural surroundings. Up here we have a unique view of the summit of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco, of the Llanquihue Lake and the Pacific Ocean. After a Picnic lunch we return to Puerto Varas. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 RAFTING PETROHUE RIVER - PUERTO VARAS - PUERTO MONTT
Breakfast. Day of rafting: Departure from Puerto Varas to the Petrohué River. The guide will hand out the equipment to the participants (wet suits, life vest, helmets, and oars) before giving safety instructions. Exit in professional rafts on the Petrohué River with rapids of difficulty degree 3 to 4. It is truly really exciting and we have wonderful views of the Puntiagudo, Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes while being accompanied by native birds like cormorants, martin fisherman and others. After 17 kms of exciting adventure we arrive at the exit of the river Petrohué. We will have a Picnic-lunch and return to Puerto Varas. Transfer out in the afternoon.
