Easter Island is one of the world's spectacular experience to
live. On March 22, 1996, UNESCO declared this island a "Patrimonio
Cultural de la Humanidad" (World Heritage Site). You will see
along this program the evidence of the old culture of Rapa Nui. Today
it is still a permanent enigma for the archaeology and general for
the scientists world. |

01 EASTER ISLAND |
| Reception
at Mataveri airport in Easter Island and transfer to the hotel selected.

| DAY
02 VAIHU-AKAHANGA-RANO RARAKU-AHU TONGARIKI-ANAKENA (full day tour) |
| Breakfast.
Departure for a full day excursion towards the ruins of the VAIHU
temple. It is preserved just as it was left after the ancient wars.
Highlights are the red hats of the moais which were thrown to the
sea. Next, AKAHANGA, an archeological center whose moais sculptures
were abandoned during their transfer. Then, the abandoned quarry of
the RANO RARAKU Volcano, construction site for all the moais
in the island. Today, more than 300 unfinished sculptures or moais
can still be seen showing different with others moais will be seen
in its interior. Next, the recently restored AHU TONGARIKI
including the largest group of moais destroyed by a tsunami 1960.
Finally, ANAKENA the most beautiful beach with two wonderful
temples or ahus. After lunch-box will be enough time for taking a
bath or explore the magnificent surrounding. In the afternoon return
to Hanga Roa village. Overnight. (B,L) |

03 RANO KAO-ORONGO-ANA KAI TANGATA-VINAPU (half day tour) |
| Breakfast.
Morning departure towards the RANO KAO Volcano bordering the
coast. The route ascends its slopes to the summit, and observe the
impressive crater noted for its 1,6 Km across and more than 200 meters
deep. Along the crater is ORONGO, a magnificent ceremonial
city with the major concentration of enigmatic petroglyphs depicting
ancient deities of the Easter Island culture. Impressive overview
of the 3 islets: Motu Nui, Motu Iti and Motu Kao Kao with plenty
of sea birds. Next, VINAPU perfect carvings on store, noted
for its extraordinary resemblance, with those found in the American
Andean cultures. Return to Hanga Roa village. Rest of the afternoon
at leisure. Overnight. (B) |

04 AHU AKIVI-ANA TEPAHU-PUNA PAU (half day tour) |
| Breakfast.
Morning visit to AHU AKIVI (7 Moai), the ANA TEPAHU caves and PUNA
PAU. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight (B). |
