Fishing in the Lakes District
The Lakes and rivers of the Lakes District seem to have a never-ending
delivery of gifts. Salmon and trout wait for the sport fisherman,
the one that comes to visit them, the one that respects them and knows
them, and the one that returns them to their world of freedom; freedom
that breathes and lives in these dream places.
Because only in the forests, I can be alone without feeling alone,
because the whisky that is drunk from an old cup of brass always taste
better; and perhaps some day I could catch a siren... |

| Day 1
PUERTO MONTT - RIO PUELO LODGE "ESMERALDA LODGE" |
| Arrival
in Puerto Montt. Our representative will meet you in the airport.
After a beautiful three hour drive, skirting the estuary of Reloncaví
to the pier of the river Puelo, a modern boat will be waiting for
us that will take us up the river toward the charming Esmeralda Lodge.
Amid the mountain range, we are welcomed with all the comforts for
the fisherman, in a warm atmosphere, with rustic decoration, personalized
attention and delicious cuisine. We will have time to relax and to
rest. In the afternnon close to the sunset, we will leave in search
of a salmon, Coho, or trout among the pristine beauty of the Puelo.

| Day
2 RIVER PUELO |
A perfect
morning, in the middle of mountains and next to a world class fly
fishing river!!! After breakfast, we will go in search of trout. In
the river we will be able to capture species of trouts arcoiris (rainbow),
brown trout, and salmon coho.
At 1 p.m. Lunch in the lodge, you will be impressed by the homemade
foods prepared for us by our excellent chef.
In the afternoon we will leave to fish in different places of the
river, it is the most glorious combination of pristine wilderness
and impressive beauty, that you will ever see. We will go with our
guide who knows the perfect fishing places. A dream come true. At
8 p.m. appetizer and Dinner in the lodge. |
| Day 3
RIVER PUELO - PUERTO MONTT |
| We will
leave to fish early in the morning, looking for the trophy salmon.
After making a triumphant return to the lodge we will celebrate our
last day of flyfishing in the Puelo river with a typical Chilean Asado-lamb
roast, salads, potatoes, and farm fresh bread. In the afternoon we
drive back to Puerto Montt. End of our services. |
