With an
annual snowfall averaging more than 20 feet and 80% sunshine, Portillo
offers beautiful Andean weather and snow conditions. Portillo offers
great skiing fun for all skiing levels, beginners to extreme!
This year we inaugurate a new intermediate run named David's Run and
a new quad chair called The Laguna pictured below in summer. David's
run is next to "Spring Bowl", the continuation of the famous
Roca Jack. It offers solid rolling intermediate terrain with great
early morning sun. The Laguna Quad, for those who have been here before,
takes skiers from the hotel to the base of the Roca Jack allowing
great access to the new David's Run, Juncalillo, Roca Jack and everything
on that side.
In this part of the Andes we receive a great deal of snow. It is an
exceptionally dry type of snow, similar to that of Utah or New Mexico.
There are many theories: the location in Andes, sublimation in the
dry rarified air, Pacific currents...
All science aside, Portillo gets snow, lots of snow, and enjoys about
80% of the season with warm sunshine overhead

Ski weeks are Saturday to Saturday stays
" One child, per parent, 12 years or younger, receives FREE lodging,
skiing and meals. Free stay is in same room as parent, or if two kids
and two parents, kids stay in a room with equivalent or less value
than that of their parents. Offer applies only to children with their
parents.
" Promotion valid for a maximum of two kids per family. Each
family may use up to two free stays per family group without regard
to age, beginning with the rate of least value.
" Promotion valid for all types of lodging except Suites and
the Inca Lodge.
" Adult guests who prefer to stay in Portillo during periods
with fewer children in the hotel might wish to avoid the Kids Ski
Free weeks and come between July 5 and September 13. |

rates are per person and based on a Saturday to Saturday stay.
7 nights lodging, 7 days unlimited access to ski tickets (eight day
free if guest returns room before 11 a.m.), 4 meals per day: breakfast,
lunch, tea and dinner, and complimentary use of: pool, fitness center,
gymnasium, aerobics and yoga classes, cinema, game room, children's
activities, day care center, discotheque, piano bar, ski check, boot
check and timed race courses.
Access to all the great skiing, sports facilities and fun activities
of Portillo. |

accommodations: |

Rooms: Family apartments have two bedrooms with a minimum occupancy
for 4 persons and maximum of 6 persons.
Octagon rooms have four beds in bunks. Guests dine in the main dining
room.
Inca Lodge rooms have four beds in bunks. Bathrooms are communal.
Guests dine in the self-service dining room.
Children under 17 in extra beds pay children's prices. Only one
extra bed per room is permitted.
Due to size limitations the hotel does not recommend adult extra
beds in the rooms.
Guests in doubles may request two beds or one matrimonial bed.
Check in - Check out
Arriving guests will receive their rooms by 2 p.m. Check-out is
before 11:00 a.m.

| Deposits: |
| We require
a guarantee payment of 50% of the total value of your stay when the
reservation is confirmed. The balance should be paid 30 days before
the date of arrival. |

| Cancellations: |
If the
reservation is canceled before 60 days prior to the reserved date
of arrival the guarantee will be returned in full less a service charge
equivalent to 10% of the value of the guarantee.
If the reservation is canceled with more than 30 days but less that
60 days before the reserved date of arrival the guarantee will be
returned less a lost opportunity charge of 50% of the value of the
guarantee.
If the reservation is canceled or postponed less than 30 days prior
to the reserved date of arrival the guarantee will not be refunded
if the ski area is open.
Portillo operates with natural and man made snow and when the area
is open good skiing is guaranteed.
Bills
Prices in dollars are informative. Bills are presented in Chilean
pesos at the official exchange rate. Prices may be subject to change.
Our rates do not include the 19% Value Added Tax. Foreign guests who
are not residents of Chile do not pay VAT if they pay their hotel
account in dollars or with a dollar credit card. |
